If you determine who you are using the perceptions of others (and even your own narrow-minded 'life' filters), you will never have a clear idea of yourself. Your personality, character and essence will always be unstable, changeable, because your value is not based in something sound. Rather it is found in something fickle.
Instead, determine who you are on a foundation of self-love; a belief in yourself and your aspirations and an undergirding knowledge that you are validated in the face of what other's think or say (and regardless of how you feel at times)... Then you will find life's sweet spot! Things will seem to fall into place. You will be more attractive to those around you, carrying a confident and secure stature. And one of the most important virtues of self-love is being true to yourself despite your circumstances. I am not saying you will be perfect, but you will be happy. In fact you might even brighten someone else's world too.
Love yourself, make each moment count, and be brave enough to believe you are worth it!
